Hello and welcome to the Families First Monthly website. I am the owner, publisher, editor, ad sales executive and the business manager of this publication. I am happy to see Families First Monthly entering it's tenth year in May of 2008. Enjoy looking over our pages and feel free to contact us.

Publisher Bio.--Laura Lee Kalchik is a native of Northport Michigan. She enjoyed being raised there and appreciate living in this beautiful area as a parent. She has three boys in their 20's and a daughter-in-law. Currently living in the Suttons Bay area, she is blessed with a home office and time to stop and smell the flowers.

Personal note-- I am very happy to have a publication which covers a wide variety of topics. I have been a married stay at home mom, a single working mom with shared time with my boys, a stepmom and an empty nest parent. I know first hand that there are many kinds of families. Our stories address important issues for parents of all kinds. The columns in Families First Monthly are excellent. The writers and designers for this publication are the best.
